Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using ClevaPDF, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. “Clevaway,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Clevaway; “you” refers to the person or organization using ClevaPDF.

2. Eligibility and authority

You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you use ClevaPDF for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. Children may use the service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian and where permitted by law.

3. The service and local processing

ClevaPDF provides browser-based tools for working with PDF and image files. Selected files and generated outputs are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. Ordinary requests still occur to load the website and, with consent, analytics.

Results may vary based on browser support, available memory, document complexity, encryption, corruption, embedded content, and device performance. Always keep an original copy and inspect output before relying on, signing, publishing, or distributing it.

4. Permission to use ClevaPDF

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the service for lawful personal or internal business purposes. This license does not transfer ownership of the service or its code, branding, content, or intellectual property.

5. Your files and responsibilities

You retain all rights you hold in your files and outputs. You are responsible for:

• having all rights, permissions, and lawful bases needed to process each file;
• protecting confidential information and complying with professional obligations;
• checking the accuracy, completeness, accessibility, and suitability of outputs;
• maintaining backups and using an appropriately secure device and browser; and
• complying with copyright, privacy, records, export, and other applicable laws.

Because files stay on your device, we cannot retrieve, restore, review, or delete them for you. Your browser’s downloads, cache, extensions, and local storage are under your control.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use ClevaPDF to:

• violate law, court orders, contracts, intellectual-property rights, or privacy rights;
• process files you are not authorized to access or manipulate;
• introduce malware, exploit vulnerabilities, interfere with availability, or bypass security;
• automate abusive traffic, scrape the service contrary to published controls, or overload infrastructure;
• misrepresent outputs, facilitate fraud, harassment, abuse, or unlawful surveillance; or
• remove proprietary notices or falsely imply endorsement by Clevaway.

7. Intellectual property and feedback

ClevaPDF, its design, software, text, branding, and related materials are owned by Clevaway or its licensors and protected by law. Third-party libraries remain subject to their own licenses. If you voluntarily provide feedback, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free right to use it without identifying you or exposing document data.

8. Third-party services and links

Website hosting, analytics, and linked sites may be provided by third parties under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not control third-party websites. Analytics is optional and governed by the choices described in our Cookie Policy.

9. Availability, changes, and termination

We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of ClevaPDF. We may block access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, maintenance, or a violation of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will survive.

10. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLEVAPDF IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. CLEVAPDF IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR LEGAL, COMPLIANCE, ARCHIVAL, SECURITY, OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLEVAWAY AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO CLEVAPDF WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR EUR 100. These limits do not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot be limited for fraud, willful misconduct, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Clevaway against third-party claims arising from your unlawful use, your files, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights. This provision does not apply to consumers where prohibited by mandatory law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cameroon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The competent courts of Yaoundé, Cameroon will have jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer law may allow you to bring proceedings where you live. Nothing restricts either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using a legally available consumer dispute process.

14. General terms

• If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited and the rest remains effective.
• Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
• You may not assign these Terms without consent; we may assign them with the service.
• These Terms and referenced policies form the entire agreement about ClevaPDF.
• Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.

15. Changes and contact

We may revise these Terms. Material changes will receive notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms. Questions may be sent to info@clevaway.com.
